    What to feed 2 years to gain wait
    My daughter is 2 years old and she only weigh 15lb. What can we feed her to gain weight.

    Wow, she's smaller than most babies at 6 months.

    What are you feeding her now? Has she seen a doctor about this? Have you talked to a nutritionist?

    She's very underweight. You really need to talk to a doctor because there's obviously something going on.

    How much did she weigh at birth?

    She is super picky eater. She did visit Dr and he suggested carnation breakfast. I'm very small and my other kids are the same way. He says not to worry. As a mom I want to get some other mom's ideas what they are feeding . She eat lots of fruit full banan every morning. Macroni and cheese carrots she love.

    Has she put on weight steadily since birth? Some kids are naturally going to be smaller than others.
    Usually, as long as they are gaining, even if slowly, look and act well, reach their developmental milestones, they are doing OK.

    A few things you can try to see if it helps at all:

    *Offer small samples of a variety of foods, such as cheese pieces, avocado slices (very good fats), the banana slices, peeled apple bits, sliced and peeled peaches, crackers, etc. so that she can pick from these and eat as she pleases.

    *Go ahead and offer the carnation breakfast, or check out something like Ensure designed for kids if you feel you need to add something extra. You can also make your own healthy drinks with fruits and yogurt in a blender.

    *You could try things like other types of pasta, perhaps with small bits of meat and veggies in it... or just with a bit of cheese sprinkled on top. Grilled cheese sandwiches... slices of turkey... yogurts... oatmeals.

    *Try not to worry too much if she sticks to only several types of foods for now, toddlers are notorious for staying on one food for extended periods, but do what you can to offer a variety of different things to encourage her to widen her choices and likes.

    She's very tiny. My daughter was a preemie and was about the same size as your daughter, but by the time she was 6 she finally caught up with the other girls.

    If you've had her checked out at the doctor and she's an active otherwise normal child, then I'd follow DouglaLC's advice with the meals/snacks.

    Just to be sure, you might get her checked out by another doctor.
