Can I negotiate my rent increase upon renewal
I just got my renewal offer for my apartment, and the rate provided was higher than last years.
Is there ways of negotiating the rent increase and/or anything I can do to not have the increase as great?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

You can attempt to negotiate. If the landlord does not want to negotiate or you cannot come to an agreement, then you have to leave.

The landlord, unfortunately, gets to make the rules.
