How do I get legal help to reopen a dependency case?
My 13 month old son went into emergency dependency care when I was arrested. My case required me to serve nine months in jail when I got out I had three months to complete my case olan, so I volintarily closed the case. Five years latter I finally have my life straight and I want to reopen my case and begin proceedings to get visitation with my son. He is currently with his father and step mother. I asked a lawyer and was told that a $2,000. Retainer was necessary. I don't have a lot of money. Is there any agency or probono group that can help me? My case is in Florida.
