baby shower for teenagers not together anymore
My son, who is 17 and an x-girlfriend, also 17 are expecting a baby in November. The girl's mother has asked that we have a combined tea. How would that work as far as the gifts that they receive? I know the baby's mother will need everything at their house but we will need everything at our house too. Should we have separate events and register separately?

Have it separate. It makes no sense to combine it if they are not even together.

You could certainly register separately. Make a suggestion that the families do something else together and explain that you will need two of everything so you are hesitant to combine showers. (Do they do showers for boys?)
