My mother died over about a year and a half ago-she had hired a lawyer as the executor to her estate-he has favored two sisters in this matter by answering any ?'s they have promptly and precisely-one is the trustee,the other purchased my mothers home--the other 2 sisters ,one of which is me and unfortunately my other sister who has passed away recently-he has been nothing but rude to-not answering any emails from us and weeks pass and then finally he'd answer and act as if we were rude in the matter for being persistent with our ?'s-we got a "pre-liminary" disbursement split 4 ways of her assets back in 3-10 and were told by him the remainder would be disbursed late summer--well I emailed him over a month ago re: when these final disbursements would occur[i'm guessing 12,000$ per daughter]--as I am a single mother of three boys and one entering college,my 2 other living sisters are well off,no kids,don't need the $$$--no response from him-although my sister[the trustee] had an insurance question for him last week and was responded to within hours... is this fair? I feel like I am being singled out-ignored and made to feel like I'm begging for my mothers money--he was hired by my mothers lawyer to fairly mediate her estate and he has certainly not.. I am not even worth a response--.I am forced follow-up with a phonecall or office visit to him which I was trying to avoid.. any advice on how this is being handled? I read somewhere the probate distribution should be finalized in a year or so?

Make an appointment and sit down with the attorney and ask him why you are being treated this way. If you don't get answers then contact the judge handling probate and ask for the judge to intercede.
