    Murray rear engine rider won't turn over
    My murray rear engine rider won't turn over when I turn the key, but when I jump the terminals on the starter, it starts and runs, just won't start by key. Key switch appears fine.

    Hi,
    Two most common points of failure electrically are solenoid and key switch. Since both fail internally, looks can be deceiving.
