    Bank employee Bonding
Arrested on a disordely person's offense - possession of marijuana. There has been a suspension of proceedings and have a conditional discharge after the probationary period is met. No other arrests. Stable work history, excellent credit history. Will this preclude one from getting bonded as an employee of a bank?

Possibly, yes - particularly in today's economy.

The only way to know is to contact an agent who carries many lines and ask.

It's very well possible that your offenses will prevent the bonding, but you'll just have to apply to see for sure.

    Hello rd:

Your crimes were not ones involving moral turpitude. In other words, you didn't STEAL. Therefore, I believe you can be bonded.
