Where have you put the whelping box? Most dogs like a nice quiet and secure place, perhaps she doesn't feel her puppies are safe enough where they are and she is looking for somewhere more private.

Hi shaz thanks for the answer, she is in our bedroom, on Sunday we actually moved her into my cupboard and chucked out all my shoes, we also put a heater there for them, but she is still scratching all the clothes out.

Strange... I was going to suggest moving her into there but that doesn't seem to have helped!

Unfortunately it might be a case of storing your clothes somewhere else for a few weeks... would that be possible? Or is the wardrobe the only place you can keep them?

Is she pulling the clothes into the box or just digging them around? If she's moving them into the box you could try giving her a small blanket to scrunch up instead, or put a pile of old blankets next to the box for her to lay on and distract her from the clothes.

Trink's dug herself a bed in the (currently unplanted) flowerbed. I can understand why... the nice cool dirt probably feels really nice during the hot Texas weather. Going on the basis that it's better to have one known spot with a hole (rather than having her dig new ones if I try and fill...
