    In my windows firewall under exceptions, I have 6 windows checked all for media connect. Is this OK or should I uncheck them? While I'm at this question concerning windows firewall what would happen if I were to uncheck all the boxes under exceptions?

    Do you need to update your windows firewall? If so How do you do this? I forgot to say in the last question but I'm using windows xp and using internet explorer. Thanks

    Just download regular updates from Microsoft to keep your windows firewall up to date.

    I don't see anything wrong with keeping them checked.

    I would recommend getting another firewall. Windows firewall is not very reliable, I would get Zone Alarm firewall, and then turn off the Windows firewall.
