    Free grammar and writing coarse
I was looking for an inexpensive way to improve my writing. I searched on line and there are so many things available. Does anyone know anything about these free coarse or any suggestions on how to take advantage of these with choosing one that is known to be good? I took a test at a college and it showed I need some coarse in writing before getting in to a college writing coarse. I thought it would be nice if there was a coarse not so expensive which had someone monitoring your work? I know they offer this kind of thing but how would you check that it's a good coarse?

If I were you, I'd be very careful signing up for an online course (not "coarse"). I'd be glad to help you here for free or on a grammar Web site http://www.grammarmudge.cityslide.com/Home.html. You register there and can post on the grammar help boards. The site is full of pages explaining grammar and punctuation.

Maybe you and I could convince the AskMeHelpDesk admins to start a Grammar board here. :D Meanwhile, feel free to use the Writing board. I'm "in charge of" it.
