    Green Millionaire free book
After seeing their ad on TV over a dozen times, I finally checked out their website.

Before I go on, let me clarify:
    1) I am not speaking "on behalf of" AskMeHelpDesk in any way
    2) I am only sharing my experience with Green Millionaire

I was impressed (after visiting mygreenmillionaire.com) that there was only a $1.95 shipping charge for the book, so I ordered it.

I was happy with the book.

    BEWARE THE SMALL PRINT

In the small print that you must agree to, you are agreeing to a 1-year "trial subscription" to their email spam which will cost you $89.95 per year. Dumb me did not read the small print.

If you do not cancel within the period that they give you in the small print of the "agreement" then you will NOT get your money back.

About a week and a half after receiving the book I found that my credit card was charged $89.95 by them. That was today.

I called them (877-213-8238) and it took me about 40 minutes on the phone to get only half of the charge credited back to me... and then another 15 minutes or so to get them to quit trying to change my mind and cancel the "online subscription" (Otherwise I'd have to remember it and cancel it later).

Bottom line: If they'd have made it plain and clear that "By ordering this free book we will subscribe you to our online subscription that will cost you $89.95 per year unless you cancel within 14 days" then I would have done things differently!

    Buyer Beware!

On the plus side, it's a decent book for the shipping cost of $1.95... but if you order it and don't want to spend $89.95 per year for their emails, you'd better watch the small print and be sure to cancel within the free trial period.

For anyone considering them, just Google green millionaire: You'll see lots of stuff about them in the results.

I see now that I'm not the first one to fall for it:

Oh well, life lessons. Hopefully the people that are advertising the "free book" will change their ways.
