    If his probation was revoked/violated, he could do as little as a few days to as much as his full sentence.

    You need to review the original sentencing paperwork. At the time he was sentenced the Judge put in that order specific wording as to what could be his ultimate punishment in jail if the guy came back before him for a probation violation.

    First there does not have to be "new" charges, or they can be charged latter depending on the SOL.

    But they can get up to the original time, so if it was 5 years probation, they can get 5 years in prison.
