    Smoking
Ive been smoking 2 packs a day of Winfield Red for about 7 years now and I hate it, I hate it with a pasion.
At first I took it up as a self destructive form, I hated my life and wanted to die anyway so I figured why not smoke? I now realise how ******* stupid I am.
Now I smoke 100% due to the addiction. I have tried to quit so many times. But upon quitting I become angry/frustratable/hatefull above all belife and become quite a danger not only to myself but to others.
I want to quit so badly, I need some help/advice to help me get through it all.
Although with that said, I cannot afford nicotene replacement theropy, or hypnotheropy. I've just lost my job.

    Hi, fkcitall12!

And, hence you also have another trigger that might cause you to want to smoke...

Do you live alone or with someone else, please?

    Thanks!

It's about 4:30 A.M. here. Time for me to get to bed real soon!

About three months ago, I quit drinking. I know that it's not exactly the same as quitting smoking, but it is an addiction, none the less. At first it was tough, but now, not so hard. I've gotten used to not drinking. However, if I take even one drink of an alcoholic beverage, I know that there's the danger that it could bite me in the a$$ and I could wind up wanting more and more to drink.

Have you tried substituting something for the smoking, like eating or maybe chewing gum?

Yehh I've tried substituting, for other things.
    It hasn't worked for me.
I used to try and swap smoking for a physical activity, but I ended up spending so being active id crash and woodnt be able to move for a few hours wich lead me to smoke again.

Another thing to try is to keep occupied with intended goals towards which to work. Doesn't have to be real hard, physical activity.

Are you more alone or generally with someone else a lot, please? Maybe a combination of the two..

    Thanks!

Okay. I can see that you're no longer logged on to the site here. If you might be interested in brainstorming on this site for keeping occupied, getting employment, staying off the cigs, etc. would you please let me know on this thread?

I usually start getting on this site for a longer period starting about three hours before you started today.

There are also some folks on this site who I know have been successful with quitting addictions of various kinds. I'll let them know about this thread, in case they don't see it.

Time for me to get some sleep!

I hope that you have a great day! :)

    Thanks!
