    WinXp Network Issue
I have 2 computers (both using WinXP HE) that are connected via a routher and a modem. They can both get on the internet with no problem. But for some reason they cannot see each other on windows. I can ping the address and get a response - so I know the router is working. I just can't view them via windows.

I ran the Network wizard on both a few times - with windows firewall disabled and our anti-virus software disabled and still cannot view each other.

    Any ideas?

What, specifically, are you trying to "see" on the other PC? You must have folders shared before you can access them. Also, in the Windows Firewall, on the Exceptions tab, you must make sure "File and Printer Sharing" is checked.

I am trying to see the other computer. I can only see my computer on the network - not the other. So therefore, I cannot file share or print. And yes I have done everything you have said here. File sharing and everything was already ON before. I had the network working at one point and now it doesn't. Simply trying to find out why - troubleshoot.
