Does Oxidation Really Affect The Ability Of Hydroquinone?
I Have Been Getting Interested In Compounding My Own HQ Skin Cream, But I Know The Main Thing Is That The HQ Sometimes Turns Brown (or oxidizes), I Have Purchased Several Store Bought 2% HQ Creams In The Past And The Back Usually Says Something Like This " Due To The Active Ingredient Product May Darken Over Time When Exposed To Air, However This Does Not Affect Performance Or Safety" (exact quote). Now With That Being Said Im Wondering If The HQ turning Brown Or Slighty Brown Is Really A Big Deal After All If Anyone Knows Enlighten Me :).

Once it oxidizes its not longer effective. So keep it tightly sealed and out of sunlight.
