Do I Have A Septic Bed Problem?
    Hi,
We have been in our home for 6 years and we have a septic system. Last year we had the septic tank pumped out. There are only 2 of us in the house. We have noticed this summer that there is a patch of green grass and we haven't had much rain as you can see by the rest of the septic bed it's pretty dry. The green patch is right near the end part of one of the septic line pipes. I would like to know if anyone knows if I should be concerned about this and call someone in or is not something to worry about?
    Thanks for your time!

Looks like one branch of the drain field is not despising the liquid the septic tank's sending it. Any idea how many branches that you have? To check dig up the manifold on the discharge side of the tank and count the pipes connected to it..
You only have two people using the septic system so I wouldn't be too concerned unless more green patches start showing up. Good luck, Tom

    Hi Tom,
We have six branches (pipes). Here in Ontario, Canada when you buy a new home there is a warranty on it. We have seven years to claim against problems with the septic, that's why I'm wondering if we should do something about this now or is it something that won't bother our system for many, many more years? Thanks!
