How much does it cost to replace a blower for central air?
My air conditioner has stopped blowing air. The coils in the top are freezing over. We have just recently replaced the filters, so I know that can't be the problem. The outside fan does turn on. The blower in the bottom portion of the unit is not turning on. How much is this going to cost me?

Are you going to be doing this work yourself or are you hiring out someone to do this for you?

You can go online and price the blower motor unit for your brand of a/c and get an idea of what that motor's cost will be. Then add about 15-20% markup on the item and add a service charge to the total.

Only problem with buying the motor online is once it comes to your house and you are the one hooking it up if it is not the motor that went bad then guess what, you've just got yourself a new blower motor.

You need to test each component in the a/c unit with a multitester to see which is the bad part. Could also be a contactor switch or a relay switch that is your problem and not the blower motor after all.

Unless you have good mechanical skills and electrical skills I would not advise doing this yourself.
The cost of a typical air handler blower motor is generally under $100.00 worst case scenario, assuming you can buy at a wholesale distributor.
Many wholesale distributors for that type of equipment will not sell to the general public, it depends on where you are and what wholesalers you have in your area.
It could be that the start capacitor is bad and not the blower motor.
If you call a licensed professional rates are somewhere between $75.00 to $150.00 per hour depending on the company and your location, most with a 2 hour minimum.
Most companies will double the price on the parts as well.
    Hope this helps you.
