    I want to attach a spigot to a water hose
    I have a well and I want to attach a spigot to a water hose so I can turn it on and off at the at that end and connect another hose to it

    You need what's called a frost free yard hydrant. They sell them at Tractor Supply Corp. for around 50 dollars plus however much pipe you want to get.
