I have super minor Hypethyroidism, so minor the doctors don't want me to go on anything. Not unless I plan on getting pregnant. Anyway, I've been getting these symptoms every once and a while, and I want to know if they are relevant in any way.
-Shaky hands and legs
-Weak feeling
-I feel warmer
-I am slightly nauseus
-Tired
-Irritated and frustrated
-Purple under the eyes.

I am almost nineteen years old, and I have only known about my hypothyroidism for a year or so, and the doctors have been keeping up on it. Besides that, I am always tired and have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I sleep well, but some times wake up with charlie horses, or if I stretch too much, I feel like I'm about ot get one. Please help me figure out what's up with me. Thanks.

It is hyperthryroidism, and it is too much of the thryoid hormone reacting on the tissue of your body. With the exception of maybe one of the symptoms you are feeling, all are symptoms of this condition. Your doctor will keep track of the balance of hormone and it is very very difficult to fine tune the meds to keep this under control; sort of like a hot and cold monitor with the digit in the middle swinging over to either hot or cold. When it gets to one extreme, then the doctor feels it is time to initiate meds to control the thyroid.

Discoloration under the eyes if probably from being tired a lot. Unfortunately these symptoms have to be lived with unless you insist your doctor issue a mild thyroid med to you to compensate these issues.

You see, once you start taking a thyroid med, there is no going back, it has to be taken every day and on time. This is why your doctor has to be sure that you actually need it.
