    Demanding Sister in Law (brother-in-law wife)
    Ever since I got engaged to my fiancé his brother's wife has not stopped making comments about me. Initially it was about my weight, which I admit was a problem, but I have since lost it. Then she began talking to my parents about how much more I am getting from the family in wedding presents etc than she did.

    The problem has now escalated with her telling the entire family about the unfairness. But she received 10 lakhs in cash from my deceased father in law to migrate overseas, something they chose not to do in the end. In fact I am getting less as my Fiancé has since his fathers death taken full responsibility of the family and is paying for his own wedding!

    Obviously I don't want to rock the boat and publicly call her out no matter how much I want to, but what can I do to manage the situation. I think part of the problem is that I wss born and brought up in the USA whereas she and my in laws in India so I don't really understand all of the familial politics behind this.

    Please tell me what to do. My gut instincts y
    Tell me to bring my mother in law and my brothers unmarried sister to the USA to live with us as perhaps that will remove us from my brothers wife's negativity...

    Keep your quiet. That is the best thing for you. Eventually everyone will understand her politics. Specially if you are going to stay in the US. Just be sure that your husband is on your side. Rest is all secondary.
