I Just Recently Found Out I Am Three Months Pregnant. I Am Very Excited But Scared Because I Just Went To A Christmas Party On Friday And Got Very Drunk. That Was The Very First Time In A Long Time That I Had A Drink. I Had Been Very Busy With School And Work And I Just Finished Finals So I Was Excited To Get Out. But I Feel Like I Have Made A Huge Mistake By Going Out And Getting Drunk. Is There Anything I Can Do To Save My Baby? I Am Afraid It Is To Late.

I'm not a doctor but getting drunk at a party is not going to damage your baby in any way that would warrant an abortion. Talk to your doctor about it to get professional information. If you can't afford one, go to your local county health clinic, call the "call a nurse" hotline, go to a church family planning clinic, or any of the many free family services out there to get some professional input before you take such a drastic action.

You are fine. Your baby should not be hurt by this. Many women drink before they know they are pregnant and their babies are just fine. The problem comes from drinking throughout your pregnancy.

Some doctors even recommend a glass of red wine to help you sleep once in a blue moon if you are having problems sleeping.

Don't worry about this one time. Just get GREAT prenatal care and follow your doctor's directions. All should be fine!
