    Where was she diagnosed?

HOW was she diagnosed without insurance?

Perhaps where she was diagnosed has the answer she (you) are seeking.

More information would be needed for most anyone to really answer this with any degree of accuracy.Where she lives, who with, income from the last 12 months,, you see where this is going, personal information on the net, not a good idea.

Perhaps the Diabetes Association would be a good start.
