    We left the back open, the security started ticking and the battery dead
    The security started ticking and then we couldn't start the explorer, we ended up having to jump it to get it started

    Now, remove and fully charge the battery, which most auto parts stores will do for free. Record any radio codes, prior to disconnecting the battery.
