    Heritance law in CA
My grandmother on my moms side passed away 4 years ago. Her husband whom she married in 1981 of course got her estate. He passed this July 9th. His son said his name was on the bank account and closed it out and took everything. The will says the estate will be split between my grandfather and grandmothers children. His children only want to split the profit of the house when it sells. Is this right.

This will have to go to probate.

Do you know who the executor is?

It's the executor's responsibility to probate the will and then distribute the inheritance as written in the will.

The executor is His son. My grandmothers kids are left with nothing because she passed first. They were married since 1981 and she contributed to the estate they established.
