    Fish tank questions
I have a 30 gallon guppy tank that I have a few questions about

    1. one of my female guppys died the other day while/after giving birth(I'm not to sure because she was dead and there were new babies in the tank and she was the only one ready to give birth) Why would this happen? She has had about 4 batches of fry before that?

    2. are rocks from outside OK to put in my aquarium? It's looking prettyy bare and I don't want to spend $20 on a rock I can find outside.

    3. My male also died a little while ago and I was wondering if I could put one of my betta in my tank since I have no males (My females barely have color)

All right and one last question regarding my betta tank.

I have one male betta living in a 10 gallon aquarium, I was wondering if there were any fish I could add to his tank? He is a pretty dosile fish and doesn't even flare if he see's another betta (We had to tanks side by side without thinking and the one male was going crazy and the other just sat and stared)

    1) stress and age could have done it. Its really hard to say.

    2) If you use rocks from outside you need to choose them carefully. Look for sharp edges and trim them if possible. Boil them to sterilize them. Also I used to bake them at 300 to kill off anything that could have been on them. You don't want to go above a temprature that makes water boil as it could caus trapped water to split or explode a rock.

    3) Betta's mostly like shallow tepid water. So mixing into a 30 gallon tank may stress the fish.

The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. The interior dimensions of the fish tank below are 28 cm, 49 cm, and 52 cm. Each fish requires 10,000 cubic centimeters of water. How many tropical fish will this fish tank hold?
