    Sewage Smell from Washing Machine
Sewage smell from washing machine. Machine is located on main floor with bedrooms above & garage below. No drain is in the room & have city water & sewage. Brown particles resembling paper or dirt have been deposited on clothes washed the day before the sewer smell is noticed. The particles may be removed by picking or brushing off wet clothes=a long, tedious job. If left on, the clothes have to be rewashed. The clothes do not have a bad odor. The odor seems to arrive the day after the mess on the clothes. We notice the odor by itself, also.
