I have a 5600 watt generator that has performed flawlessly for over a year. Two weeks ago, over 100 degrees and humid, and it ran the AC in the travel trailer just fine. This weekend, same conditions, but the generator would not supply enough power to run the AC. The generator started fine and sounded normal, but the AC would stall and had to be shut off lest it damage itself. I hooked the trailer up to my little portable generator, just 3000 watts and it ran the AC just fine all weekend. I ran the larger one on small loads, and there were no problems. But as soon as I hook it up to the trailer and turn on the AC, it does the same thing. I can't understand it. The 3000 watt did great, but now the larger 5600 is worthless for the trailer in the summer. Any ideas from the experts? Thank You!
