        Hello everyone 
 
Next Friday I got an interview for Service desk technician in a government council  
 
And it is a Customer Facing Worker role 
 
So please tell me some interview tips on this and technial (Interview)  questions  
 
These is the job specifications  
 
Undertake 1st line incident resolution and/or Service Request Fulfilment, ensuring that corporate Service Level Agreements are met and that security and compliance guidelines are achieved 
• Provide 1st line support for all technical areas of the Council’s corporate ICT infrastructure, ensuring a secure and stable 
Platform for the delivery of services is monitored at all times 
• Carry out installations of new desktop infrastructures and shrink wrap applications. Decommission obsolete hardware 
Within the council’s following agreed procedures. To assist as directed in a rolling maintenance program to ensure desktop 
Integrity and continuity of service 
• Undertake user account administration 
• Update documentation including procedures, patch plans and drawings 
• Undertake backup and recovery routines 
• To be responsible for updating the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) with all hardware and software changes 
Ensuring 100% accuracy at all times 
• Undertake start-up and shutdown routines for central computer room equipment to procedures 
• Undertake DSE and health and safety checks regarding installation of equipment in public access areas e.g. libraries, NHS 
Buildings. The post holder also installs specialist software for members of the public 
• To be aware of ICT security and promote the importance of securing information to customers 
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade of the post
