    How come I hear someone walking up the stairs but no one is there
    At night when the house is quiet, it sounds like someone walking up the stairs. When I go look.. no one is there. How come

    The stairs are creaking as the house cools down.

    It is possible that it's something paranormal, but it also could just be normal creaks.

    Is there any unusual history that goes with the house or area it's built on?
