    Can a attorney-client confidentiality prevent attorney form stopping his client from an impending environmental disaster?

    Hello s:

    The attorney/client relationship has NOTHING to do with that. Certainly, his lawyer can STOP him. In fact, his lawyer is OBLIGATED to inform authorities about an impending crime.
