    Property retrival
    Do I need to set up an estate to retrieve personal furnishings and clothing of deceased parent No other siblings involved.Deceased had no will.

    If there are no other siblings or heirs involved then I'd just go and take the deceased's personal effects (assuming you have a key to the property.) Then I'd speak with an attorney about being granted ownership of the property, since there was no will. It should be a fairly routine process. You can decide whether to keep it or sell it. If there are any liens (such as a mortgage), that'll have to be satisfied, either by continued installments or by selling the property and using the proceeds of the sale to satisfy the lien.
