    Major plumbing issues
I just purchased a house last May. Last month it has developed major plumbing issues. The entire plumbing system in the house needs to be redone. Do I have any legal recourse at all?

Did you buy a buyers insurance policy to cover all the major items of the home when you bought you house.

Did you have a home inspection done prior to buying the home.

And I guess I have to ask, what is the major issue, since I have never known all of the plumbing to have to be replaced at one time, I know at times we havve done it, to update things.

But normally after your home inspection and you close on the home, it is yours.

If it is something you can prove they knew about and lied to you about, you may have some grounds.

And if this is something the home inspector should have seen or known, you may have some ground there if they did not do their inspection property.

But normally once the home is yours, it is yours

If you got a warranty with the house then you're covered. In my state of Florida the seller MUST disclose any problems before closing. If these plumbing problems are major ones then the seller knew about them and is liable for the repair. This is the best advertisement I know of to hire a home inspector before agreeing on a price or closing. Contact your agent or a lawyer to find out more.
    Regards, Tom
