    Only girls please!!
    Hi. I'm 15 years old and I've been having this problem for quit a while, I've never asked it because I'm kind of embaressed about it.. well here it is..

    Okayy I've noticed lately that whenever I open my legs I have this horable stink(please don't laugh at me or anything I feel uncomfortable as it is.. ) even after I take a shower.. and I know its not from sex because I'm still a virgin.. well a few months ago I had this rash and my doctor thought I had a disease of some sort. Well she told me to go out and buy a douche.. I did and the rash went away but I still stunk and I still do to this day.

    What's wrong with me?

    Lizzbeff, we all have an odor to speak of. Douching is bad, very bad. Please don't do it again. Get a second opinion. It may be a bacterial infection that can be fixed with antibiotics.

    I have to agree. Douching is not recommended because it can actually make things much worse.

    You should discuss this with a doctor once again. What you think is "horrible" may actually be very normal. Do not feel ashamed, this is a natural part of growing up and learning about your own body. {{hugs}}

    I'd think that you either have a bacterial or yeast infection. You really need to see a Gynecologist to find out for sure and to get treatment.

    Never use anything more than soap and water. Douches actually push bacteria further up and can cause massive infections.

    Definitely agree with the others. I'm curious as to whether her thinking you had a disease of some sort was her wording or how you interpreted what she said? Is there any unusual discharge... itching... burning? Did she do any sort of testing? Any sort of internal exam?

    If not, speak to your mother, or trusted adult, about seeing a gynecologist for an exam.
    If there is a concern, they can better determine and offer treatment... if there is no concern, it will give you the peace of mind that things were checked out and all is OK.

    lizzabeff... do you disagree for a specific reason or was this one of those mistakes?

    I will add, a doctor would know if you "had" something or not. They would have known or found out what it was.
    So obviously you either did not understand what they said, or some other issue.

    You need to find out what the real issues are.

    Don't use bubblebath or perfumed bath salts. There was no reason for you to disagree with DoulaLC . She gave you correct information.

    Read the rules.
