My 95 Camry loses power and dies repeatadly
For the past month and a half I have had an issue with my car dying on me.
I have taken the car to two different mechanics and they have not been able to get the problem to repeat itself. When the car acts like to it wants to die I give it gas and it responds, and when it acts up on the HWY if the car gets below 2800RPM it wants to die.
The car died on me the other day and it wouldn't start back up, but when I had it towed to my mechanic it started up.

Replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil should solve the problem.

It sounds to me to be a sticking EGR valve. Quite common on this model. Remove the Vacuum line going to it and see if the problem persists.
A classic example of this issue is coming off a steady cruise, then coming down an exit ramp to a stop. Car then stumbles once or twice and dies. Usually restarts though.

Have they carefully inspected the condition of the ignition coil?
These are prone to failure and can show various symptoms before complete shut-down.

Another thought is what you said here. This gave it time to cool down, which tells me to also check the coolant temperature sensor (CTS).
If the sensor goes intermittently open it will cause a very rich fuel delivery on a hot engine which causes black smoke out the pipe and stalling & hard restarts.

It think we've covered all the basics here to get you up and running again. Let your head scratching mechanic know what other experts have told you.
A follow up would be nice too.
