vibrating cold water pipe in hotpress?
This is driving me insane. I have a vibrating pipe in my hotpress, when no draw on water, it just humms very quietly, but you can feel the slight vibrate, but you will only hear the vibarate when the door of the hotpress is open, when you draw on the water it makes more noise, like a refrigerated truck idling, you know that sound, and it is solved by flushing the main toilet. Obviously its pressure but how can I solve it, I had a condensing combi put in last year, which changed all my plumbing for the worse, and because of this have now put back in my cistern again in the hotpress to try to sovle my poumbing issues. I have a very patient plumber, so I need an answer before I go to him again.

Thank you Tom for reading my question. I though people knew what a hotpress was. It is the same as an airing cupboard, it is no bigger than a broom cupboard and it is here where your hot water cylinder is stored, for your hot water supply. You wouldn't be walking into it, as you suggest (at least no in my house, perhaps in others), it is only a very small storage area . Now am I understood, The question again I have is that there are hot and cold pipes in this cupboard, and the cold one is pressuried and it vibrates and gives off a humming sound at best and at worst, sounds like there is a car outside with the engine running, to clear the vibrate, I have to flush the toilet and this seems to release the pressure in the cold piple, any suggestion now that you understand my query - Thanks Tweetie 57

When I turn on the cold water tap, cold water comes out initially, but quickly and momentarily becomes hot for about 30 seconds, then cold again.
