Some dogs are just greedy eaters. They will eat everything in 10 seconds flat and want seconds.

It doesn't necessarily mean they aren't getting enough food, it just means they will end up getting fat.

You can try using specially designed bowls to spread the food out and make meal times slower but I have found that metal muffin trays do the job just as well.
Split the food into the 12 muffin compartments and it will take the dog a lot longer to get the food out of all of them.

Another thing you can do is add 'filler' to the dogs food. Grated carrot had very little calories and will help make your dog feel more full.

I loved shazamataz's idea with the muffin pan... sounds like that should do the trick.

    shazamataz;2419648hi thanks for your suggestion
I have tried this with muffin tray ,and like you said it does slow her down a little, first time she ran off with it still full ,lol,;i have,nt tried the grated carrot yet as it seams, every thing I give her tends to go through her ,I will keep you posted
    Thanks joe

Another great filler is green beans. They make them feel full with out actually putting any weight on them. Plus they have lots of other great benefits.

I tried Shaz's muffin tin pan with a dog at the shelter, works like a charm!

Don't know why this thread was closed. I've re-opened it. If one of the mods closed it for a reason, sorry, didn't see why.

I'm thinking it's a glitch with the new skin.

    steele1943 disagrees
    Why the disagree?

What do you mean go through her? As in gives her the runs?
She may have a sensitive stomach or does not handle diet changes very well.
What food are you currently feeding?
