Plant flowers in soggy water spots in yard
I have small area where the ground is wet and soggy in my front yard. Could it be a plumbing issue? I also have a toilet that leaks. Or could it be a water pipe line issue? One time the front yard had to be dug up, it costed $2,000.00-$3,000.00. I do not have that kind of money. Should I just add gravel? My email @ home is [email protected]. Thanks so much!

Please don't add your e mail address on an international site, msEvelyn. You will get a lot of unwanted mail from transients through this site.

Are you possibly below the water table where you are. Near a lake or body of water ? I am pretty close to Lake Ontario and am below the water table so I have damp spots where I only plant perennials that love soggy earth.

Yes, you should raise your yard, but then that's expensive as well. Possibly cost you in the range you paid to have it dug up.

I would call a landscaping company in for advice and possibly give you an estimate on correcting that issue.

If you have a septic tank is it located where the soggy spot is? If you have city water where is the line under your yard? Has it rained a lot lately? I would find out if there is a problem underground before doing any lanscaping
