Help me analse this dream

6 weeks ago my mother told me that she had dreamed about my ex boyfriend and in the dream he came to apologise for leaving me while I was sick, and all my mother said was that he should apologise to me and her.

About 2 weeks after my mom told me about the dream I had a dream about my ex boyfriend whom I have not spoken or seen for 5 months,

In the dream he looked like some stranger, He came to my house and my mom called out my name to tell me he is here to see me. We sat in my brother's room. He looked like some stranger completely unrecognisable, but its as if I knew it was him. He didn't ask me to get back together, all he said was that his sister (I knew his sister and we got along well) was visiting for the weekend and she asked him where I was since we used to be together most of the time. He then said "well i just wanted to say hi and see if you are still okay" and then he left.

And now 2 weeks ago (2 weeks after the dream I had) I got an friend request/invite from him to join this other social network (sort of like a dating site). I found it strange since he was not sending me any mails, texting or even calling after he had asked me to give him space because he needed to be sure about us (well I think it was because I had candida and was infecting him).
