You can go to your local office and they will file for you. They will make him take a dna test and also make him the legal father and order support. It doesn't cost you anything in most places.

His mother is out of her mind.

He CANNOT terminate his rights unless you are married to someone else who wants to adopt the child.

Go to your local social services office and talk to someone about filing for child support IMMEDIATELY after the child is born. At the same time, file for FULL custody.

Keep any hurtful and hateful messages from him or his mother. That may help you in the future to make sure they get limited visitation (if they file for it) or supervised visitation.

The mother either doesn't know the law or is trying to intimidate you. There is no way she can terminate his rights.

As Synnen advised, your best bet is to start with your local social services agency. They may refer you to Family Court, but one place or the other you should be able to get help in filing for support. I would not ask for a paternity test however. You KNOW who the father is so you do not need a test to tell you. You are asking for support and physical custody. Let him request a paternity test if he wants to confirm paternity.

And most likely expect other "groundless" threats from mother, next will be that she or son will get full custody and take child away if you file for support. ** often you get that threat first.

Fire and get your support you are due
