    Should I leave my family?
If I leave my husband without divorcing him and he stays in our house, should I buy a condo for myself or is it better to just live in a rented one until we divorce?

I want to leave my husband, and he would stay in our house (mortgage is paid off); I am not sure what would happen if I buy a condo for myself. Should I just rent one first?

Better to rent something because otherwise its something else to fight over. You can figure that it may take up to a year to have a final complete divorce. So if your sure about it file something ASAP.

If you have money to buy a condo, you have enough to consult with a divorce attorney. Frankly, it would be money well spent.

Thank you, AK lawyer. I am going to do that, too. I just need to find a good lawyer.

I guess I haven't been thinking about the condo to fight over (but you never know). I just want to be alone - maybe I am just being emotional. I can live alone in a rented place as well. Thank you for your advice.
