Air in our Water Lines? Been in the house 4 months..
Ok, so we haven't had a problem with our water lines since we moved into our new house over 4 months ago. Last night, I turned on the water (hot & cold) and nothing but air shot out. I bled the lines in the bathroom and kitchen, and even in the wash room. The outside spicket didn't do this. When I started to bleed the lines, the water turned rusty and brown, then after about 1/2 hour turned crystal clear again. What could be causing this? If it was a busted pipe, wouldn't we have little to no water pressure? (water pressure was great, but we had a hard time regulating the temp of the water in the shower). Hot water works fine.

We're still getting a few spurts of air every now and then and we're a little stumped.:o

This could come from work outside your home by the water supply company. You might ask a neighbor if they had the same problem.
