For about a year now I've been attracted to my best friend, I've grown up with him and only realised my bisexuality about 4 years ago, I am 16 now and so is my best friend.
I've fallen into a deep depression about this, as we're bestfriends, he tells me everything, he's what you'd call a 'Player' and dates a lot of girls and tends to have sex with them.
Every conversation I have with him is painful as it just reinforces the fact that me and him can never be together.
I constantly try to see him as much as possible in hope that there maybe a chance for us, this is not lust, this is definitely love.
I often find myself crying, refusing to accept there's no chance, but the evidence just stacks up.. he talks about girls a lot to me, but shows some signs of "Loving me back" like hugging me and ending text's with <3, x, or loveyou.
I can't avoid him, we've been bestfriends for more than 10 years, we're going to the same college, taking similar courses and I don't want to lose him.
What do I do? :'(
I need a way to deal with this, and no, telling him how I feel is NOT an option, I do not want our friendship to be destroyed, him to distance himself from me and be avoided by all the friends I have for not being straight.

One of my very best of friends is gay. I'm straight. We've known each other and been best friends for decades. We've also told each other that we love each other. It works. There's nothing sexual involved. However, if I were gay, we would certainly be lovers. But, being "lovers" in the physical sense just isn't an issue. The love that we share transcends the physical.

Do others know about your bisexuality, please?

No, people don't know I'm bisexual, I don't want peoples opinions of me to change.
