    John deere stx38 won't start
I put a new tractor drive belt on the mower, now it won't start. Checked the safety switch, OK, checked the solenod, OK. Found a wire clip with two wires on it on top of the transaxle not connected to anything, one purple and the other gray, tested the one wire and get voltage when the key is turned, can't find any other wire around that area. Also when I turn the key the fuel cutoff switch clicks. Is this wire for another accessory or needs to be connected to something.

If this is a gear drive there is a neutral switch on the tranny that the plug slides on.
