Craftman riding mower, would not start just try to turn over and make a draging sound, replaced sylinoid, still would start sometime but would drag then also, replaced starter,started at first mowed once turned off won:t do anything, does just like it did before I started putting parts on it, was told it was a cog on the starter? Don:t trust my yard man any more , what does this sound like?

Didn't say what model or motor you had.
Try pulling the spark plug and see if it cranks easy.If so check you valve clearence.
