Help! Can someone please translate this for me?
Hi, I love the tattoo on this site, the second one down on the page the Tibetan design written in the U-med script. Could someone please translate this for me? Where could I get this font drawn up?

    http://www.tibetanlife.com/tibetantattoos.html

    Please help, thanks!

"This Tibetan design is written in the U-med script. The Tibetan translation of this is 'without head.

It says right under the photo...

Why on earth would you get a tattoo of something you as well as no one else can read or understand?

To read it, you'll have to find a Tibetan monastery or enclave with literate people in it.

That's not the translation. "Without head" means it's cursive Tibetan; "with head" means it's printed Tibetan.

I don't care if someone else can read it, I like that they can't. Its not like the people who get tats in english such as others names then for instance separate, and are left with a permanent reminder, perfect for others to prompt who's name is that? At least in another language you could say it meant something else! Being so "Wonderful" would have thought you would have thought of it from that angle!

Emily94 the "without head" refers to the language style used, I had noticed that! This however is not the translation of it.

I am not "Wonderful" -- I am a Girl who Wonders a lot, as my signature says.

So you want a tattoo in some obscure language that you can lie about what it really says?

No not so I can lie, If that was the case I wouldn't bother getting a translation id say it said what I wanted! I was using the fact that nobody could read it as an example of why some people me included choose to use different languages to express themselves. If everyone can read and understand something its not as personal. I have a phrase I want to get in this style but was just curious as to what this said.
Never mind I've located a site and emailed them for help!

My Indian coworker laughed when I showed her some of the Hindi/Sanskrit translations on various tattoo sites. Be careful or your tattoo might say "I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches" or "tree camel go temple."

Why not tattoo in Hebrew or Greek? At least you can get a reliable translation in those two languages.
