Hampton Bay fan won't work.. light or fan. Please help!
Hello... so I just purchased a house that has a nice fan w remote on the master bed. The first few days, worked fine then the light stopped working and the fan would only work on med. Speed (has low and high as well). A day after stopped working all together. Here are the specifics. The wall switch has the fan on/0ff and also, fan speed and fan light dimmer. Below the fan speed and light dimmers, there are two on/off's for those as well. Hope I'm making sense!
There is also two pull cords on the fan itself. I think I've tried every combo from the wall and the pull cords to get it to work again but no luck. Its not the remote, I used it in another room and works with that fan. All power is on, on the main house switches. What could it be? Its an 8 yr old fan (2002) I pulled off the canopy and the wires seem fine.
Thank you for any light you can shed (no pun intended)...
