Ontario staute of limitations on credit card debt
This is in regards to a credit card debt in Ontario 2003. Settlement was arranged through a counselor and agreed upon by the bank. All payments (last was 2 years ago) have been made as per agreement. We are still being hounded by a collection agency and the debt is affecting our mortgage renegotiations. How long can this remain on my credit score? Do I need a lawyer to clear it off my file?
