    Advice on how to deal with your young 7,5 & 2 year old seeing pornography
    My 7 year old daughter and granddaughter and grandson
    Were watching a porno video when I came from down stairs,
    I am trying to form the words to take these horrible images
    From their little minds.. It is my husbands dvd and our daughter
    Found in in his bottom drawer... do I seek them all counciling?
    I am just sick as well as mortified that My oldest daughter (26)
    Mother to my grandkids will never let the kids be allowed in our home again..
    We are not bad people... help!

    While it is shocking to you and to those that started to watch the video, your daughter was snooping around in his bottom drawer, and had no business being there.

    What if she had found a loaded gun, or prescription medication and thought it was candy.

    Maybe there should be a locked cabinet for things that are not appropriate for children.

    That being said, I doubt that anybody watched enough to be permanently damaged, or need psychotherapy for the next several years.

    I would tell your eldest daughter that you and your husband have locked up the things in the house that the children are not allowed to see.

    Good luck with this one. They are very young, and I can understand that your daughter (their mother) is upset. When children are around, you need to take reasonabale pecautions to secure these items. As far as therapy, I don't think that is necessary. They need to be taught that what they saw was grown up stuff, and now you have to teach them early. You can't tell them that what they saw was wrong, because then they will be confused; both by the fact that Grandma and Grandpa had this and they are being told it's wrong, and later on in life when they come to the more sexual stage.
