    Hit head in temple
Hello. Yesterday around 1.30pm my husband and I were taking a shower together. As I was shaking my hair out after shampooing it, I accidentally slammed the right side of my head, on my temple, on his raised elbo. It wasn't very hard, but I ended up getting a headache from it and it was sensitive to touch later that night. I went to the ER just to be on the safe side and they did blood work and gave me a catscan. Everything came back okay, so they discharged me. Now, today I still have a slight headache in the same temple. It kind of feels like pressure, as if someone is pushing on it, or if I have a migraine but only in that spot. I am also getting little pains in other areas of my head(left side, back of the head etc.). I am also a little tiny bit dizzy, which I mentioned to the doctor yesterday.

I suffer from MASSIVE anxiety over my health, especially things like this and I was wondering if I should possibly go back to the ER to get it checked up on(I don't have a regular doctor or health insurance so ER is the only option.) or if this seems fine? What do you think?

I should also mention, the pain goes away by 90% when I relax and lay down.

I would say all the tests that needed to be done were done.

If there were any damage it would show up on CT scan. So it will be sore for a while.

Anxiety with health issues can actually make health issues worse. I know from personal experience.

It will take time to heal, but believe me it will. Just take some time to relax and heal.

Well anxiety can cause a lot of turmoil. It can make problems worse. I am sorry I could not ease your mind. Rest and taking it easy is the best medicine. CT Scan is the best diagnosing of any kind of injury which was done.

Did they suggest any kind of pain medication for a few days. Just over the counter and make sure you do not do anything strenuous for a few days.

Take Tylenol not Advil, is the only advice I can give. That is if you can take it.

Get your rest and your welcome I am sure more people will post more answers soon.
