    Obama BLEW it!
    Hello:

Not five minutes ago, Obama cancelled his Memorial Day speech due to rain.. It was pouring, but the president had an umbrella. The people waiting to hear him, didn't and were getting soaked. They didn't care.

Obama's got a communication problem. The people don't think he's connected to them. This didn't help. If he had just walked amongst them, getting soaked along with them, he would have won my heart all over again. But, nahhhh. He left those people soaked AND disappointed. I'm disappointed too.

PS> Maybe I should be his chief of staff...

    Hello jm:

Lightning was rumored, but I didn't see any. I don't know. Rain doesn't stop me. I live in Seattle.

Rain didn't stop the heroes being honored for Memorial Day either.
    Many died in torrential downpours.
He doesn't get it (this and many other issues) and he surrounded himself with clones who don't get it, many of whom if they did get it they wouldn't care enough to let anybody know they got it. So he is basically on his own. I'm an old Navy guy, let's just say he is at sea. Goodnight and Good Luck!

I'd vote for you exy... Lot of soldiers now fighting in scorching heat and sometimes freezing cold.

My husband says in Vietnam there were heavy rains that lasted for days... still didn't stop our young men from fighting and dying.

The heat or freezing cold doesn't stop my son from having to go back to Afghanistan or the thousands who will do the same.

Maybe Obama thought he would melt! Makes me sick.

You couldn't tick off the Israelis any more than the current chief of staff is.

Don't see how they will be able to clean this gaffe up... very poor decision. The connection he had with people that put him in office in the first place has just not been there after he got in office. I think a fair number of people are probably doing some rethinking.

It's a total disgrace to our men in uniform and the ones who are no longer with us. Thanks to all you on this site who served. God Bless all of you.

I cannot watch the news and even look at that man without gagging.

After finally reading a more thorough account I had to cut him some slack... until I read this part from after he was "whisked" to his car.

While he sat in the presidential SUV, visitors made their way through the cemetery in the driving rain. Their clothes were soaked. Some were barefoot. Others held programs over their heads in futile attempts to stay dry. An elderly veteran was seen getting a lift from a golf cart.
Yeah, there was lightening, but he could have held out for an hour for the storm to lighten up.

Too bad he didn't have a golf club in hand when the lighting was striking... Oops did I say that out loud?

He's a disgrace, a mockery to our country. No wonder his approval rate is dropping by the second.

Considering he can't even do the Pledge of Alligence properly it's just as well as he didn't give any speech. He's too busy "vacationing". It's just another ploy to keep him out of the WH so others can do their dirty work for him.
